Hex represents each byte with two hexadecimal digits. This tool decodes those bytes as UTF-8 text and also converts text to Hex.

Enter Hex without 0x prefixes; ASCII spaces, newlines and tabs are accepted. Invalid UTF-8 still produces a Hex byte view. Shift_JIS is not detected automatically.

FAQ
Is Hex encryption?
No. Hex represents byte values with hexadecimal digits. No key is needed to recover the bytes.
Can I include 0x prefixes and spaces?
Remove 0x prefixes. ASCII spaces, newlines and tabs are accepted as separators.
Why does UTF-8 decoding fail?
The bytes may use a different encoding, contain binary data or be incomplete. This tool does not automatically detect Shift_JIS or file formats.
